Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) offers vast versatile spaces to host events. It comprises seven exhibition halls and conference rooms under an impressive floating blade roof.
Situated in Gharafat Al Rayyan, along the Dukhan Highway in Doha, Qatar, the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) stands as a testament to architectural grandeur and environmental consciousness. As a proud member of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development, QNCC resides within the expansive 2,500-acre campus, sharing space with esteemed institutions like the Sidra Medical and Research Center, Qatar Science & Technology Park, and reputable universities such as Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar, Texas A&M, and Georgetown University.
Since its inauguration on December 4, 2011, QNCC has been a pioneer in sustainable construction, being the first of its kind built to the gold certification standard of the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). Crafted by the visionary architect Arata Isozaki in collaboration with RHWL Architects, the center incorporates cutting-edge innovations in water conservation and energy-efficient fixtures, boasting an efficiency rating approximately 32 percent higher than comparable structures. Noteworthy features include 3,500 square meters of solar panels, providing 12.5 percent of the Centre’s energy requirements, alongside energy-efficient LED lighting throughout the exhibition halls.
With a vast array of facilities, including a conference hall accommodating 4,000 attendees theater-style, a 2,300-seat theater, three auditoriums, and 52 flexible meeting rooms, QNCC caters to a diverse spectrum of events. Its adaptability allows for hosting conferences or banquets for up to 10,000 guests.
Beyond its architectural and functional brilliance, QNCC has garnered international acclaim, receiving accolades such as the “Best Events Venue” at the Middle East Event Awards 2013, “Middle East’s Leading Exhibition & Convention Centre” from the World Travel Awards, and “Best Congress and Convention Centre, Middle East” from Business Destinations Travel Awards in 2012. Recognized as a beacon of excellence in event hosting and sustainable design, QNCC continues to shape the landscape of convention centers worldwide.
